The NationaLease Tech Challenge, now in its seventh year, recognizes member company technicians with the opportunity to compete in a series of events testing their maintenance knowledge and skills. It is a two-part challenge with a written exam and a hands-on skills competition.
The 9 regional winners have been announced for the first part of the challenge and we’re happy to announce that Wade Russell from our Westville location has been chosen out of 260 registered technicians. The exam, which member company technicians completed in early March, is the preliminary step to qualify for the title of NationaLease Top Tech.
Wade will now move on to compete against 8 other regional technicians in the Hands-on Competition during May 11th-13th, 2017 in San Diego, CA.
The top three winners of the NationaLease competition in May will be sent to participate in the TMC SuperTech competition this upcoming September where they will go head-to-head with other technicians for throughout the industry. Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) said technicians had to show their skills in areas such as electrical/electronics, brakes, starting and charging, tires and wheels, wheel ends, vehicle control systems, engine (hardware), engine (software), steering/suspension, PMI, drivetrain, service information, fifth wheel, and HVAC.Categories: News
